My decision to study at the Department of Education and Early Childhood Education of the University of Patras was the result of previous careful study of the curriculum. It was a pleasant surprise both the careful selection of courses offered as compulsory and the wide variety of electives, which cover a wide range of scientific fields, providing graduates with scientific culture and full professional training. During my four years of study, my expectations were not disproved, on the contrary my interest was strengthened. A determinant factor was the Department’s teaching staff, characterized by full scientific knowledge, ability to impart knowledge and adoption of interactive and innovative teaching methods. It would be an omission if I did not mention that a unique experience of my student life was the realization of the internship in kindergartens, as I was given the opportunity to connect theory with practice, interacting with the supervising teachers and experienced kindergarten teachers. My undergraduate studies were completed, being among the University of Patras Honor’s students, a special honor owed to my personal effort as well as the decisive contribution of my professors’ willingness to facilitate, guide me and show trust in my abilities.
