The results of 2024 World University Rankings of Times Higher Education have been published. The University of Patras is ranked in the top 1000 institutions, within 1904, specifically ranked in 801-1000. It is ranked fifth (5th) among 16 Greek universities that participated the specific system ranking this year. The performance of the University of Patras was particularly remarkable in the area of Research Quality and its connection with industry. It is worth mentioning that the number of institutions evaluated by Times Higher Education is increasing on an annual basis, creating a highly demanding and competitive environment.

601-800 Harokopio University
601-800 National Technical University of Athens

Times Higher Education World University Rankings attempts to compare universities in the areas of teaching, research, knowledge transfer and international outlook. It uses five categories of indicators: [a] teaching (learning environment), [b] research (size, income and reputation), [c] research (strength, excellence & influence), [d] international outlook (staff, students & research) and [e] industry linkage (knowledge transfer). To release the results, based on its new methodology, THE’s system utilized demographic/statistical data for the year 2021 and bibliometric data for the five-year period 2018-2022.
