On Tuesday, January 30th 2024 at 18.00, the official celebration of the University of Patras for the Three Hierarchs and the Day of Letters will take place in the Ceremonial Hall of the University of Patras. The opening of the event will be held with the greeting speech by the Rector of the University of Patras, Professor Christos I. Bouras, while the keynote speech will be delivered by the Lawyer – Author Mr. Christos Moulias, entitled: “Patras in the life and work of Panagiotis Kanellopoulos“. Afterwards, honorary plaques and diplomas will be awarded to the faculty members who retired in the previous academic year, 2022-23, in recognition of their long-term contribution to education and the development of the Institution. In addition, the “Student Excellence Awards” accompanied by cash prizes will be awarded to outstanding, in the academic year 2022-23, graduates of the University of Patras. During the event, the awarding of the “PANAGIOTIS KANELOPOULOS” 2023 and “EVANGELOS PAPANOUTSOS” 2023 Awards for Outstanding Publication and Outstanding Teaching will also take place. The event will end with the participation of the Choir of the 11th Primary School of Patras – “Panagiotis Kanellopoulos” under the direction of Mrs. Kathrine Galanou, Music Teacher.
