The celebration of the 58th Anniversary of the founding of the University of Patras will take place on Tuesday, November 29th, 2022 at 19.00 at the “Odysseas Elytis” Ceremonial Hall. This anniversary is of great importance for the University of Patras and combines the dual celebration of the foundation of the University and the patron saint of Patras, Apostle Andreas. The University of Patras on the 58th anniversary of its foundation celebrates 58 consecutive years of contribution to science, education, research and culture. With the welcoming speech by the Rector of the University of Patras, Professor Christos I. Bouras, the programme of this year’s event will begin. The keynote speech on the topic: “Democracy and Development in times of subversion” will be delivered by the Emeritus Professor of Economics of the University of Athens, Mr. Anastasios K. Giannitsis.
In the framework of the celebration, the title of Honorary Doctorate of the Department of Management Science and Technology of the University of Patras will be awarded to the guest speaker Mr. A. A. Yiannis Yiannitsis, who will be the guest speaker. Mr. A. A. Giannitsis.
